Dr. Ralf Risser is expert in mobility research of different social groups (young drivers, older persons, impaired persons, gender perspective). Insight on different groups and their relations to reference groups, e.g. the inquiry about pedestrians as second-class participants in road traffic or in the current project CONSOL (Road Safety in the Ageing Societies – Concerns & Solutions), an EC funded project investigating the case of the elderly and traffic safety in road traffic.
He is visiting professor at the University of Olomouc, Dept. of Psychology (Czech Republic) and lecturer at the FH Campus in Vienna on Green mobility. He has been President of International Co-operation on Theories and Concepts in Traffic Safety ICTCT, Member of the board of the Nordic Behavioural Scientists’ Association NORBI and Member of the board of the German Association of Traffic Psychologists DGVP.
